Remarkable Reading #5: WEALTH SECRETS OF THE 1% by Sam Wilkins and Dan Slater's LOVE IN THE TIME OF ALGORITHMS
The aim of this section Remarkable Reading is pay a tribute to the books that taught, share trends & insights into where our world in the 21st century is heading in a technology enabled world, and ask the right questions.
Bolded and italics quotes and references do not belong to myself and belong directly to the author. The focus is to share valuable insights and teachings from the book to win business for the authors.

The two key topics & themes we’ll be touching on from Sam Wilkins WEALTH SECRETS OF THE 1% and Dan Carter's LOVE IN THE TIME OF ALGORITHMS are Finance & Romance.
In WEALTH SECRETS OF THE 1% - THE TRUTH ABOUT MONEY, MARKETS & MULTI-MILLIONAIRES, Sam Wilkins states on page 282 - “...because new ideas are very valuable (including new ways of doing business, new technologies, and of course, most valuable of all, new books”
One of the core aims of this particular blog is dedicated to sharing new insights from business books and the impact of the Internet on commerce since 1994, share new ideas, and (hopefully) find a financier & friend to back a business focussed book.
Page 119 state: “I believe the power to make money is a gift from God - just as the instincts for art, music, literature….” said John D. Rockfeller. “Having been endowed with the gift I possess, I believe it is my duty to make money, still more money, and to use the money I make for the good of my fellow man”.
This raises a question from my earlier post about the original vision of the Internet. Does the internet provide a more hopeful era for equality in the 21st Century in terms of wealth distribution?
WEALTH SECRETS OF THE 1% is highly recommended to all who wish to increase their knowledge in wealth & financial management, and despite a complex subject matter, has been fluidly written.
Our second theme is romance, and specifically, romance online (and hopefully offline) as romance, affection, love, intimacy and friendship are necessary human emotions.
Internet also provides great hope for humans leading a happier lives in terms of our domestic lives. Online dating has experienced phenomenal growth, and despite severe criticisms, is still one of the greatest hopes for us to find a “date”. Chapter 1, Page 29 states “A date was supposed to end in something...something, yes. But what exactly was the date itself? And more importantly, what did they imply”
Page 106 also states: “Everyone says the exact same shit. They like to party, ,but stay in sometimes. They like to travel”.
Confusion and lack of coherent focus and specific details in terms of dating appears to still be an issue with dating sites. I think we will have change for the positive in this area moving forward. A part of this could perhaps be us, a new generation of Internet users firstly coping with changes in understanding Internet behaviour, and secondly and most importantly, ourselves (and technology's roles & responsibilities in this facilitation).
Author Dan Slater's LOVE IN THE TIME OF ALGORITHMS: WHAT TECHNOLOGY DOES TO MEETING AND DATING does a remarkable job at providing understanding into the behavioural and technological changes happening online today, and what cultural impact does this have on various cultures.
Dan Slater states on page 103 - “The next step for dating technology, then, is to capture real-world behaviour by gathering data on how daters actually date…”
Dan has a amiable writing style that makes a precise statement about our relationship with technology in terms of paving way for domestic and relationship happiness in a connected age.
Online dating is constantly being explored further, and I believe we are close to having a online dating evolution which will garner critical mass between 2017-2022. One of the core themes of this blog is to explore inventions & ideas within online dating & mobile dating applications keeping in mind market trends and history, and find a business friend to explore research & development into product development.

We will be touching on Robotics and AI, food innovation (Finnovation), convergence of established media and social media, internet necessities and what the future of the 21st century workplace & economy will be like. My core aim is to study in-depth these areas with a business friend and to write a book.
